Exercise
Hi all, am wanting to lose weight but find doing anything physical exhausting. Wondering how swimming affects people? Scared it may exhaust me too much so bit nervous to try x

I started swimming as soon as I was diagnosed. I absolutely love it now - it’s my escape from everything, sometimes I do 10 lengths, sometimes 50! It’s still really hard to be motivated to go, and I do feel pretty pooped after especially if I’ve pushed it but I definitely feel better physically and mentally for it. It’s not the most efficient for weight loss but it will definitely help! (Unless you reward yourself with a doughnut like I do after 😂😂)
I find swimming a lot easier than walking, the weightlessness part of it. Very little impact on the joints. Tones most parts of your body, especially enjoy a heated pool. I use the foam weights and do various excercises to strengthen and tone. As well as cardio by doing laps.
