Unsure of what to do

What should I do about muscular skeletal pain and headaches when I do not know if it is Ms or from the precursor to bone marrow cancer called smouldering multiple myeloma I have been diagnosed with.I am concerned about their treatments for this and I told them that I wasn't interested in them. I felt angry with the oncology department and wanted nothing to do with them. I have been up in the air as of what to do I guess I will just have to cross that bridge when I come to it
@ItsMewithMS

I have a numb thigh, bad balance and strength which could be either from MS or complications from a hip replacement two years ago. Hard to separate the two issues. I was advised to not antagonize it and do what I can. I take Rebif now but advised by my Neuro to switch over to Ocrevus and that was confirmed by Mayo although not whole-heartedly endorsed. They did encourage me to up my dosage of Gabapentin to see if that settled down the nerves. I only take 600 now (two of my capsules) and they said you can take 3600 so to start by doubling current dose and see if that shuts down my nerve pain so I can be more active and have safer balance to prevent more falls.

@itsmewithms You can take up to 3600mg but research has apparently found that there’s not really extra benefit past 1800mg. What I would do is try and take say 900 mg but spread over 3 doses ( ie 1 x 300mg 3 times a day approx 6 hrs apart) ) which evens out the effect and then get 100 mg tablets so you can increase slowly if required.
