Tysabri

Hi - is anyone in the same situation that they don't qualify for tysabri under the NICE guidelines because although the clinical data and consultant support the need for tysabri the mri scan is not showing the necessary active lesions to qualify? I have an excellent neurologist who tried every trick in the book with mri - head and spine, 4 in 2 years etc etc but...nothing so I don't qualify for treatment and all I am told is this situation is rare and i am an anomaly - all well and good but still doen't get me the drugs!!!! :-) Consultant appealed to the PCT for exceptional treatment circumstances and surprisingly i've been given 6 months of treatment on a trial basis but we now have to re-appeal for further funding - shown great improvement so finger's x'd as there was no strict criteria as to what improvement i needed to show to justify further funding. Was wondering if anyone else in this position and if their appeals have been successful??????
