Gilyena or not??

Hey everyone. I got diagnosed with MS last year. I also found out I was pregnant on the same day and went on to have a gorgeous healthy baby girl. My neurologist has recommended that I now start Gilyena. My question and worry is about the rebound effect when we try for 2nd baby? Currently symptom free. Thank you.

I am on gilenya, and compared to the meds I have tried before it is amazing!! From what I read when I went on it, you only have to be off it a certain amount of time before getting pregnant...

@StrictlySoca

I think it’s a valid concern and as far as I understand in the uk you would be eligible for mavenclad/cladribine if you are eligible for Gilenya. You could get pregnant after a 6 month gap from year 2 treatment. It’s better as well. I’m concerned about rebound so I’ve stuck with Gilenya even with a slight flare extra lesion last year (got no new ones this year) . I wanted mavenclad/cladribine but it was only being prescribed off label at the time. So many more choices now available. Wow though on the double “diagnosis” glad things are ok with both the MS and the baby
