supermarket delivery/click and collect

For two weeks I have had priority delivery/click and collect slots and thought I'd share my experience. Before lockdown, I went on the yougov site to register as vulnerable. There was still no certainty around whether MS (or which of the DMTs) was a qualifying condition and therefore who would get The Letter. I think it was one of @dominics posts which suggested that it would do no harm to apply. One of the questions was 'did I need help getting food?' (or words to that effect). This was before we knew that online food shopping would be controlled and potentially unavailable. I said I didn't. A couple of days later came an automated reply saying the data I'd provided (NHS no, medical condition, drug I was taking) and the fact that my surgery hadn't alerted them plus I'd said I didn't need help with provisioning indicated that I was not in need of special treatment. About then the online limitations began and I cursed the fact I'd said I didn't need food help. Fast forward a few weeks I get an alert from firstly Waitrose (I'm a customer) then from Iceland (never shop there) saying that on the info they have had from government I qualified for priority online shopping. I've now had 2 click and collects and today got a letter from the GP's surgery, saying that despite the fact that I'd applied to yougov for vulnerable status, they were pleased to inform me that I do not meet the criteria and that I have no need to be shielded (but of course should follow all the usual guidelines). My take on this is that the first tranche of people having qualified (i.e. the transplant /cancer cases etc.) , the supermarkets now have the capacity to take more. I suspect that they have looked at people like me, the unsuccessful applicants, and are working their way down that list. So - if you are in need of online shopping, if you register on yougov maybe the same thing will happen??

Big brothers always watching! I'm also quite paranoid about how much I should share on this? Iv nothing to hide but don't want to say the wrong thing incase it'll be detrimental to my benefits. I'm just surprised people are being so open and honest on this forum! Id like to think it's safe place to Shere our worries and concerns over ms/ benefits and other personal concerns. I take my hat off to you all and this very helpful site xx
