Neck pain deep heat!

For the last year Iv been getting a quote strong pain in my lower neck/middle of shoulder blades. It comes and goes. I can apply deep heat or similar and it goes away.

If this was MS related pain am I right in thinking deep heat wouldn’t touch it?? Just need to know as to what treatment I get for it.

@blagaman182 , it could be tension, where you’re all “knotted up”.It’s easy to be tense in our situations, keeping your shoulders tight.

Have a look at Mindfulness as a way of relaxing your frame.

Thanks @stumbler do you know if it was ms related whether deep heat would help? I just kind of have to know everything and whether it is ms or not!

@blagaman182 , Deep Heat wouldn’t harm it.

If it is tension, a nice massage when applying the Deep Heat may help to release some of the tightness………

Yeah it helps that’s why I’m wondering if it is ms related and kind of a nerve thing whether deep heat would help. As it does help I’m not sure if ms related.

I guess the point I’m making is I don’t want it to be ms related!

@blagaman182 , MS doesn’t directly cause pain, but it can be responsible for weakness, for which we automatically compensate.

It’s this change in muscle/joint use which can provide undue pressure on muscles and joints, which results in pain. In situations like this, the services of a Neuro-physio are required to identify the problems and prescribe simple exercises to address.

Deep Heat may provide some temporary relief.

@stumber Thankyou I didn’t know that! What about aches? Or is that under the same category?
