Meditation!

Hi all. I have been meditating for years, on and off. I find it really helps with my stress management. I know a couple of you meditate too, as I've noticed it mentioned before. I am wondering how you got started? I read a book by Jessica MacBeth called Moon Over Water that gave me techniques to stay focused. Have any of you got any websites, CDs, books you would recommend?

I’ve only been meditating since my diagnosis a couple of months ago but I do find it elevates my mood , keeps me calm and helps me sleep. I got started by googling what classes are in my local area and I ended up going to my local Buddhist centre, they do lunch time drop in classes which are not about the Buddhist teaching but just the meditation. Work is fine with me disappearing for a couple of hours on a Monday lunchtime to go to this class which is brilliant. I get loads more from going to the class than doing it on my own. The teacher’s voice is ever so soothing and I’m ready for anything when I come out of the class. I’d also like to know if anyone can recommend some guided meditation audio.

I've always been half interested in meditation but have tried to step this up lately and get more into mindfulness and have been recommended a few CDs by jon kabat-zinn, seems pretty good so far!
