Fampyra (fampridine) ?????

Just heard about FAMPYRA(prolonged-release fampridine tablets) Its a treatment indicated to improve walking in MS patients with a walking disability. Has anyone tried it?

I enquired but didn't meet the criteria because my walking is too good (ho ho). I was told it's for people with serious walking problems for whom the modest results it brings are significant and may keep them on their feet. I was also told that it has rare but serious side effects.

I asked my neuro the other week and he said it's not freely available yet. He also said about the side effects and it only works in about 10% of people.......is it worth it?!! He also said when it does work it's not that good an improvement!!
