Do symptoms improve after infusions

Good morning all, I'm due to go in for my first 5 day infusion of Lemtrada next Monday. I stopped taking Gilenya on 17th July, and my symptoms have steadily been getting worse since stopping it. I suppose that is to be expected as all the lymphocytes are re-released into the system, but in my head I think it will all be better when I get the Lemtrada. Has anybody else experienced this, and do the symptoms get better after the Lemtrada infusion? I would have expected the infusion to have happened as soon as possible after coming off Gilenya, but there doesn't seem to be much urgency from my neurologist!

Hi, I too have been in wash out of Gilenya for over two months and I have worsened symptoms that are debilitating. Due to start Ocrevus early October, so I’m hoping these symptoms improve after the infusion. But I’m of course worried that there will be no difference.

@zoec gosh, I've just read you bio and you sound like my doppleganger! I was diagnosed in 2000, and have 2 boys 9 and 6 yrs old. Since stopping the Gilenya I have had tingling patches, dizziness etc, but it's just a general feeling worse that's hard to describe!. My whole body aches every morning like I've been in car crash, and towards the end of the week my brain fog and fatigue are shocking! I just want to get rid of it!!! Well fingers crossed these "highly effective" DMD's do what they say. I'll let you know how mine goes xx
