Copaxone

Hi everyone I have had RRMS for 15years and have been relatively well but getting worse recently I'm due to start my copaxone treatment with the first delivery Monday and a nurse coming after that but have now been told it wont be with auto injector and I thought it was supposed to be as my hands shake so much any thoughts .🤔

Not sure on the choice of treatment with so many options on the table these days. I was also Dx in 2005 and immediately put on Copaxone as it was one of only two choice out there. Now with so many options it isn't seen as very effective. That said it is seen as very safe with few side effects. It is a go-to DMT to use during pregnancy. I took it for many years and always with an "epi" device and can't imagine taking it without it. I did have to fuss with the depth to keep it really shallow and into the fat level only or there is quite a sting. It also helps to hot pack before and possibly after or some feel more relief with cold pack after. I would just wet a wash cloth and apply. Also rubbing the injection site after to distribute the drug. But given it's effectiveness and your concerns about injecting I'd question the choice of DMT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd69KmEpsWM&t=12s Good luck. If you click on the Copaxone tag above you will find other threads related to it-

@wayne_kirby , the auto-injector is an optional extra. So, it's available to you, whether you choose to use it or not. It's your decision, no-one else's! So, possibly a misunderstanding.
