Hi. Nerves are understandable. I'm just moving on to Lemtrada but have been on Avonex for about 9 years or so. Sometimes the side-effects can be a bit rough and the beginning is the worst bit, but it gets better. I always do my injection at night so that I can sleep through most of it. I take 1 paracetamol AND 1 ibuprofen before injecting, and have some kind of snack food by my bed so I can take another ibuprofen in the morning without having to drag myself downstairs to eat first.
