Secondary progressive

Yeah my diagnosis has been upgraded to secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and it honestly scares me a bit. I'm alone for nearly 15 years now and I don't even have a way to get out and meet others. I'm very positive and have a great sense of humor and I wish I could get out to just make friends. I'm tired of doing this alone, I love helping others and making people laugh or smile. That's my form of medicine, to make sure other people have a good day and some reason to keep going. Please anyone message me, I promise you a good laugh

@niceandcaringmike So sorry to hear about SPMS, its what most of us are afraid of! And it sucks that you're alone through it. MS is hard at the best of times. Sounds like it's time to tap into the magic of the internet to find some new friends and people who understand. Obviously this is a great place to start, especially if you can find someone like minded, willing to have a skype or email penpal friendship (I maintained an email relationship with my buddy, and it's always nice to see an email from her in my inbox). Maybe a Shift.MS buddy could be a good thing for you initially? I've also recently discovered lots of people have "secret" instagram accounts where they can post candidly about how they're doing, and they a different friendship group to their normal account. By posting or searching for the hashtags below, you can tap into a very supportive and friendly word of fellow MSers. Good luck! #multiplesclerosis #ms #thisisms #mswarrior #msfighter # livingwithms

@niceandcaringmike I'm pretty much in the same boat dude. Diagnosed with SPMS over 2 years ago, friends have all moved out of town and gotten on with their lives, careers, marriage etc.
