Got to come off Tysabri!

Hi all, I've been on Tysabri for the past year which has helped a lot, but I've recently received a letter from my neurologist informing me that she made a mistake regarding the second year risks and I will have to change meds. Can anyone tell me what the equivalent meds are please just so I can read up on them in advance of my appointment with her. Many thanks. Graham

I was first referred for Tysbari but was put on Gilenya due to the JVC virus being positive. The risk with the JVC isn't as severe with Gilenya versus Tysbari. Major side effect of Gilenya is PML but that's with most drugs that lower your immune system. I have heard great things about Lemtrada as well. Good luck on your choice!

Thanks @sonia1984 I am Jcv positive and was first told the risks were 1:1429 but I should have been told 1:833 for the second year, I have an appointment on 6 May @Orlando27 that sounds very positive I like the idea of halting this MonSter but a possible reversal!!! As for the blood tests I have them every 4 weeks now as it is.As I've said earlier I see my neurologist soon so I'll see what she suggests. Thanks both for responding xx
