Tecfidera washout - starting Lemtrada

Question for people who were on Tecfidera and then started Lemtrada: How long were you off Tecfidera before you started Lemtrada? Did you have to wait for you lymphocytes to return to normal? I currently see 2 different MS Neurologists and I’ve been given 2 different answers - so I’m interested in hearing what others have experienced.

@diagonalline , it seems that the lymphocytes count may be the deciding factor. As this will be different between patients, the answer may well be indeterminate..........

I was on tecfidera but stopped taking it after about 1 year cos it wasnt working for me. I was told about 7 months later i could take lemtrada - after tests i was too high risk to take the other option. With holidays etc it was just over 1 year later i started on lemtrada having stopped tecfidera. Im now 3 months post rd 1 of lemtrada.
