poor balance
Hi
Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with poor balance- mine seems to have deteriorated over the last couple of weeks (it was never good)?
Thanks
Theresa

A neuro-physiotherapist would be a good person to look to for help with balance. I also actually saw this article posted on reddit today talking about using a Wii fit board to work on balance in MS! Not sure how much help it actually is, but sounds like a fun way to work on it to me! http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2014-08/rson-wbb081914.php
@Theresa , our balance relies on three senses. Our balance mechanism in our ears, what we see visually and the feedback we get from our legs/feet. If we get a problem in any of those areas, it can impact our balance. Unfortunately, MS is capable of affecting each of those areas. But, we can also be subject to non-MS ailments too. It may be worth a trip to your GP to see if they are able to give you any answers. Otherwise, have a chat with your MS nurse.
