Ataxia

Hi everyone, just wondering what treatment is available UK for ataxia? Does anyone know of home treatment or exercises I could do without physio support? I am fed up with walking like a drunk. Especially as I have gone t total. Lol

@Clary I notice that you don't have a firm diagnosis and therefore not on treatment. Sounds like you may need to contact Drs perhaps to get the former as your condition has worsened. I have found that Tai Chi helped my balance, wierdly enough because I'd expected I had to have better balance in the first place. Generally I find I have to stay active but also pace myself to manage fatigue. Easier said than done sometimes. Good luck

Thank you. I will revert back to my daily exercises. Working my core muscles. 👍

@clary with ataxia you need to strengthen your core to aid walking. Tai Chi is great for improving balance, I do it
