Neuropathic pain, what helps??
Hi everyone, I’m new to shift MS so not too sure how it all works! I’m 17 years old, I was diagnosed in February of this year and still coming to terms with the new adaptations to my life. I’m currently taking tysabri and about to start hydrotherapy, what helps best with neuropathic pain??
hopefully 3 months down the road with tysabri things will improve, including the pain. Every one is different be positive :) Hydrotherapy will help just take one day at a time :)
Gabapentin seems to be the go-to medicine for neuropathic pain here in the US. It's addictive but is quite scalable. I was on it for a while went through a couple of routines of upping the dosage, but to me I'd have to up the dosage even more. I thought I was getting the side effect of the "gaba-belly" and decided I didn't need to be on yet another medicine.
