Brain fog? Sinus?

Need some advice please... I have this thing where I almost feel like I have cotton wool in my head n my brain is almost like just a computer running I’m not even fully present. My vision is fine but almost seems like I’m not fully there. Now the tricky bit is... I’m not sure if this is ms related or not. I’m not having problem with memory or anything as such... I had a sinus surgery about 9 months ago and I felt it went away, now today it’s been really bad but I can feel phlegm running down the back of my nose/throat and am thinking is it ms? Or sinus issues. The best way I can describe it is like someone lifted my brain n put loads of Cotten wool in there!

I have found when I sleep, thru the night I have to be a mouth breather... and wake dry. I'm on Ocreavus infusions. From what I've read upper respiratory is side effect. I've only had my 1st infusion. I've been on copaxone for years.... brain fog? ....umm, yes. I was a 911 dispatcher for 26 years... couldn't do the job anymore, very sad time for me... keep your chin up.... MS s u c k s. X

Hi @blagaman182, I haven't had a runny nose or sinus symptoms so I can't relate to that. But I have been struggling with fatigue and brain fog for a few years. Recently I started on Modafinil, and it's been a game changer. I take one pill when I get up, and another around noon. It's removed the cotton batting from my brain and made it possible to read again as well as watch TV - I was having trouble following along. Also, my sleep isn't affected because I take the medication in the morning. I'm not all for drugs for managing every symptom, but in this case, it really made a difference for me. I was surprised at how well they work without any side effects that I've noticed. I'm in Canada and Modafinil isn't expensive, about $35 a month which seems reasonable compared to the cost of Tecfidera!
