Toilet aid

Two words I never thought went together until a second after I fell backwards getting off the loo ( I was clean as I sit to pee now) and broke the toilet seat and lid, grazed and bruised my back.
Getting up, one of my legs just went and rather than grab a towel rail or sink and potentially pull them off the wall, the loo seat got it
Looking at “toilet frames” now ho hum

I hope you’re ok and you weren’t hurt badly. Fingers crossed you get a toilet aid that’ll work for you.

@watsoncraig Dang brother I’m so sorry to hear that things like this happen to MS ers. Not really anything I could say or do to make u feel better. Hope u bounce back swiftly Craig. You take care maybe have a lil Glen whatever to ease in to sleep.

Thanks guys. The thing that hurts the most is my pride! Aid for getting up/down ordered (it folds away and you can get a travel bag) and replacement seat due today, easy to fit thankfully though I will be supervised by my daughter

@watsoncraig , OK, I’ll hold my hand up too.

It was a badly timed spasm which did for me. New toilet seat – £100+! 😮

@stumbler they are blooming expensive for seats!

@watsncraig The NHS gave me a loo seat wheelchair with a padded seat and padded arms that sits over the loo. Also padded back. It sits in the corner of a room so ‘able’ folk can use the loo as normal.
