SPMS - HSCT or RITUXIMAB

Hi everyone! I am new to this platform. Hope everybody is doing great. I am 24 yr old and have SPMS. My doctor advised me to choose from either Rituximab or HSCT. As I am highly positive for JC virus (3.84index), I am really apprehensive which one would be safer. Is HSCT safe with +ve JC virus and effective for SPMS, as I once heard Dr. Burt's interview where he advised SPMS patients to try other stem cell therapies. Or I should give rituximab a try ?

There have been several studies of how the JC virus responds to HSCT. Here;s one such study:- https://www.researchgate.net/publication/261220071_Immune_Reconstitution_after_Allogeneic_Hematopoietic_Stem_Cell_Transplantation_Is_Associated_with_Selective_Control_of_JC_Virus_Reactivation and a similar study for Rituximab:- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30109480 I don't fully understand these studies, but it seems in both situations, monitoring is necessary after both treatments.
