Memory issues?

Hi there!
I’m new to this app. Don’t meet a lot of people who have MS, just a lot of people who “know someone who has MS”. Here’s a conversation topic, I really have noticed a drastic change in my memory over the years. Nothing too dramatic, but I find things are always slipping my mind. I have to make shopping lists or else when I get to the parking lot sometimes I completely forget what I went to the store for. I’m always putting things down and losing them. Sometimes I feel like I really fight to retrieve memory. It’s hard to judge if this is just my half-paying attention or if this is my disease. I’ve researched a little but didn’t find much about MS effecting memory. Does anyone else deal with this issue?

Yeah I get this too. I wish I could tell you how many times I’ve had this one. In my case it appears to be an attentional gap between my RAM and Storage. I’m also working with about 10% of the RAM I used to have. Lots of dead cells I guess. Anyone who knows IT and neural nets will understand this well. It hits my buffers hardest of all.

It’s a case of ‘me too’ ….. except I could put down to age – 79. But I prefer to think it’s MS brain fog lol xx

I have had this issue for the past few years too. I’m not old enough for it to be age. I find writing everything down, keeping everything in the same place, and staying with my routine helps. This is honestly the symptom that worries me the most.

Memory aint what it used to be, can remember things from 30 years ago, but not from yesterday.

I can relate to the memory issues. I find it hard working when you need to recall things. Also when someone says something, you acknowledge it then completely forgot. Does anyone else have these issues….. I’ve has MS for 19 yrs about 3 yrs after I had my 1st child.

Yes it began with me since before 2013 gets worse year after year
Relatives left my money change on a table and a new dress
Forgot both

Nit enough that the wee carpet fell off the car when I got out
My colleagues saw me i didn’t even notice they brought it to my office
And I forgot it of course and came home
Thus Wednesday

My neurologist in Edinburgh said I suffer short term memory 🌚🖤
