Hello, I discovered this website a couple of days ago and I thought I could use it as group therapy (for the situation nowadays and because I’ve never had access to group therapy). First I’m going to introduce myself and in another post I’ll go with the heavy stuff. My name is Eloy, a 43-year-old English teacher from Spain. I live in Socuéllamos (Ciudad Real), Don Quijote territory. I’m originally from Cáceres (though born in Madrid) and I’ve lived there all my life, up the year 2000 more or less. I’ve spent the last 20 years between the U.S., Galicia and Castilla La Mancha, where I’ve spent the last 12 years (and more, since I’ve bought a house here). As an English teacher ( as we say in Spain) I preach with the example. My motto is “Don’t learn English, LIVE it” and so, everything I watch ( almost, since one of my favorite programs is Spanish) it’s in English (thanks to ororo.tv). Apart from watching movies-TV shows, I collaborate with a horror-sci-fi website, abandomoviez.net , (for Spanish-speaking members) doing all kinds of things, from interviewing actors/directors( not A-listers) to writing articles on different subjects, from the comedic aspect of action-film actors to comparing book and movie adaptation. Another thing that satisfies me a lot is my volunteer work at the local dog shelter (ASPA). I live with 3 wonderful adopted dogs from there (plus my mom’s cat) and I normally help there once a week (though I haven’t gone for a while, since all this started). I’m responsible for uploading and even photographing the dogs there so they are adopted by families all over Spain (and even Europe). As you can see, I have a varied, though simple life style, which I hope I can keep with my new “best friend” MS.
