I’m just starting this journey ...

I have not “officially” been diagnosed but am having second rounds of tests that I have had before in order t compare. Ex. 2nd EMG to determine if the nerve pain in my leg is chronic or acute. How long and what tests were the deciding factors in your diagnosis?

Hi @ darylswagnergmail-com and welcome. My "journey" started some years ago and involved an MRI scan, Evoked Visual Potential (VEP) and a Lumber Puncture.

Hello @darylswagnergmail-com, for some people MS is a possibility amongst other potentials. Generally, lots of blood tests, full case history of possible symptoms, MRIs and a lumbar puncture. Simetimes, there can be Evoked Potential or nerve conduct testing. It’s not nice waiting for a diagnosis, often it’s worse than the diagnosis itself. Try to avoid googling your symptoms, you don’t want your imagination to run riot! Good luck with your journey, be kind to yourself :-)
