@rwbaron, I’m sorry to hear that. Are you doing therapy right now? I responded well to muscle stimulation when my tremors were bad. Also, they removed some medications that can also lead to tremors. I hope this helps

Thank you for the advice.
Apologies if this has already mentioned in other parts of the forum.
MS has pretty much took my vision now hence the giving up work 😐
Luckily on my phone I can zoom in to see certain things. I will try that now.
Thank you again ☺️

The ever helpful highlander gave a link that I checked out as spasms and spasticity have impacted me as well. I’ve noticed they were much improved when I started taking Gabapentin but felt like the delivery of this drug was a bit uneven and a Dr friend of mine that was on it (Lupus is affecting her nervous system right now) told me she moved to a sister drug called Gralise. I did as well and like it better. I rarely have a spasm and spatacity seems better.

I’ve seen recommendations to check out Baclofen from others on your side of the pond so that is another one to inquire on.

You can always use the little magnifying glass in the upper left to see if topics have come up and been discussed before and this one has but we learn more all the time and new people join so for some of these common issues we deal with we should probably revisit it regularly. Good luck! they can be so annoying and depending on timing could be dangerous! Take Care!

Thanks again for all your advice.
It’s mostly when I try to pick things up or stand up. I have even had to buy glasses with handles to pour a glass of wine ☺️
I feel like I’m on crystal maze trying not to miss the class when I pour the wine

Hi;
I was getting crazy involuntary movements, jerks , shakes, leg, body stiffness—- all that. Baclofen has honestly been a miracle drug. It helps get with my unwanted movements , jerks and a tab bit with my stiff ness. I started at 20mg now I take 40mg. Good luck.

Thank you for the advice regarding baclofen ☺️
I’ll contact my MS Nurse today to ask about possibly getting a prescription

@rwbaron
Your GP is another person who you could ask, as mine prescribed it to me as my MS nurse was rather busy at the time.
You have to fine tune when and how often you take it.
But I’ve kinda been given free reign on how I manage it as long as I don’t go above the limits.
I’m obviously trusted as I’ve been using it for two years.
But follow what they recommend to start off with.
If you over do it you find yourself turning into Mr floppy.
Hope it goes well for you.

@rwbaron, I get tremors in my good right arm when I yawn which subsided after I relax but I’m taking CBD tablets for leg spasms so maybe my spasms and tremors would be worse without it.xx

@rwbaron
From reading loads of posts on here, I think you might get away with a few bevies……all good things in moderation I guess.
Hope you get on well with it.

I rang the chemist and he suggested teetotal to start.
Ironically the shakes make me totally unable to drink now so doesn’t make too much difference tbh

@rwbaron when I was prescribed Backofen no one said avoid alcohol but on the other hand maybe it would have been more efficacious if I had 🤔xx
