Do I Really Need Accessible?

This week we're spotlighting an amazing blog from Evie that explores the struggle of "not being disabled enough". This is an absolute must-read. Click below to read the blog by @Evie_Meldrum ⬇️ https://shift.ms/blogs/do-i-really-need-accessible

Yes, yes and a million times yes. I found myself flying Ryanair yesterday (I'm a sucker for torture) and showed up, with my stick and a green lanyard, expecting to find a member of staff who'd assist me through the queues. What a fool I was: I ended up queuing to check in a bag and then queuing 40+ mins to board. On both occasions, the staff were totally absent and the room was too small/too crowded for me to just push my way through. Each time I said to myself, "it's only a few minutes, and I'll be sitting down on the flight, so what does it matter?" Now today, my legs are sore and achey and I have a headache from leaning on my stick. Yes, I could have contacted R*******r in advance, but last time I tried that, they said my only two options were being treated like everyone else, or being escorted through on a wheelchair, neither of which seemed to match my needs.

@alanzapata I've worked myself up into a self-righteous rage and made a complaint to Ryanair about this btw. Thanks to @Evie_Meldrum for the motivation!
