Flying with a FES

I plan to do a bit of sight seeing this summer send I was wondering if anyone had problems flying whilst wearing a FES. Singapore airlines seemed ok with it but I'm planning to go to china next and maybe the states.

@sara, see if you can get a letter from your Neuro or whoever, just confirming the equipment and how it's used. Better safe than sorry.

I never had a problem but I used to present myself at security saying:'Look, please, I have a walking aid' and show them the wires and device before going through the scanner. Mostly, they nodded and I went through but just once, they removed it to have a closer look. Curiously though, it never set off the beep on the machine! I didn't have a letter but always carry my drugs letter so unless you have one of these I would agree with @Stumbler and get a specific one for the FES.
