Question about relapses

I was just wondering if a relapse can start suddenly, instead of gradually. I recently heard a doctor say that MS symptoms ALWAYS show up gradually, like you wake up and your hand is tingling, then the next day it's worse, and so on. I just wanted to ask people that have first-hand experience. Thanks

I thought you can tell if you are having a relapse if the sudden change of symptoms is there for a day or two

I feel the onset of symptoms over 12hrs. Early to bed that night!!!!!
