sport

would i be putting myself at risk of another relapse by going back to football or make my ms worse by doing so.

@mcrobbie7 , this is one of those questions which hasn't got an answer. You'll just have to give it a go and see the result. All I'd suggest is to start moderately and build up if there are no adverse reactions. Raising the body temperature can be an issue. And this may occur with most sports........

As a certain sports company says - Just do it. There is no evidence to suggest that exerting yourself in a sport you enjoy will increase your chance of relapse. Neither is there any evidence to suggest that it will slow down or prevent recovery from your current relapse. There is however, overwhelming evidence to suggest that not engaging in exercise will be bad for your health whether you have MS or not! Expect to experience Uhthoff's syndrome - the exacerbation of your symptoms as your heart rate increases - but this will drop off again as your heart rate returns to normal. Do it!
