Today I got a catheter
Well after struggling with bladder issues for weeks and going into retention today, I had a catheter fitted.
It so damn uncomfortable!! Does this get more comfortable as time goes on?

Hi there I used disposable catheters for 3yrs and it took me around 3/4 months to get used to them, but once I got used to them It was all good. I have recently been fitted with a temporary catheter as I can't stand up and sit down very easy now to use the disposable ones. (Also trying to be hopeful that I will get used to the bloody tug on it 😂) I'm on the waiting list for supra pubic catheter Can you maybe ask your neuro/gp etc to refer you for supra pubic? Sorry, I haven't been on here for over a year and I forgot to look to see if you are male/female and whereabouts you live 😂 All the best xx
@cherish Hi cherish thank you for your advice, the tug is horrible. I had to have it removed today as it was bypassing and awfully uncomfortable, it constantly felt like I needed to pass urine and as if there was something between my legs.
