Work

I have been terminated from my employer as I could not do the job that I had, as it was test driving cars. I genuinely thought my employer was obliged to give me a part time office as a reasonable adjustment but they are not. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

@emma1604 , they shouldn't be able to just terminate your employment like that. What reason did they specify did they specify? If it was due to your medical condition, The Equalities Act 2010 should provide some protection, https://www.gov.uk/guidance/equality-act-2010-guidance There is some useful advice on that website, although it may be a bit overwhelming. If you are a member of a Union, they would be the first point of contact for advice. Possibly, ACAS could advise, https://www.acas.org.uk/ If you do need legal advice, consider this website, https://dls.org.uk/

They said that they didn't have any alternative role available and also dont employ part time staff. I went to an appeal with my MS occupational health and a union representative. I have received a letter from my union representative stating they cant assist further i would need to fund it. I feel like giving up.
