Ms hugs…..ms attack

Hello. I need some advice on ms hugs. I’m renaming this to ms attacks, hugs sounds like something you’d like and this is so not the case. My question is… is it normal to have numerous attacks in a day? I’m being woken up having one often. I’m finding it’s effecting my whole day as it wakes me up at silly o’clock and I can’t get back sleep for hours even tho I have extreme fatigue. Neurologist has prescribed gabapentin 100mg three times a day and this gets upped fortnightly. Generally I feel like death. I thought I could manage my ms but at present I don’t. Googling silly questions like at what point do I go a&e as I’m in so much pain and to me this doesn’t feel normal. Thanks in advance for any help :)

I often wake with mine then it can go but if I'm really fatigued later on in the day then it will return. And your right who ever called it "hug" is bat shit mental!!! I find wearing a sports bra has helped at times as the feeling of something snug around there can trick your brain. I also just take nuerofen when it's really bad x

The Ms huggies the worst thing ever.. I find relaxing music some thccbd oil usually does the trick.. if you're stressed or you're in a bad place the Ms hug can get worse... But relaxation also like massage of the area can help as well.. I've been suffering with the Ms hug now for over 30 years... Invarian degrees.. hugging it out with a partner is also another good idea or just hugging a pillow or something helps as well.. it doesn't help matters when you go to the doctor asking about the Ms hug telling them about your symptoms and they get it completely wrong... So my advice to you is when it starts to chill out and relax... Trust me you'll find a way to overcome this horrendous horrible evil pain and feeling.. I know for the first couple of years of my hug it really caused me mental anguish because nobody would tell me what it was and this was way before the internet...
