Numbness and tingling.

These symptoms have become more pronounced in the last few months. I am hopefully going to see my ms nurse soon. But thought i would ask the experts here. Any advice on what you all do for these symptoms would be great. Thanks James

Hi James, I'm not sure whether this will offer you any advice really. More so, it allows me to relate to where you're at. Ever since I was diagnosed with MS back in Oct 2022 the left side of my face and mouth have been numb. For me, this is constant and it never goes away. It's something I've gotten used too and something my MS Nurse said can happen with the disease. I was a sufferer of Trigeminal Neuralgia and she believes this could have caused the permanent numbness in my face, due to it damaging the nerves. Sadly, there's nothing that can be done for me, as the damage is there and won't repair. Funnily enough, my advice for myself is always taste my food or drink on the right hand side, so I know it's not too hot and won't scald me :D

For nerve pain you can take Amytrptaline or Nortryptaline amongst other drugs. I take Nortryptaline it doesn't take the pins and needles away from my hands and feet but enables me to sleep. I also take Baclofen for spasms in my legs. I would speak to your MS nurse. I hope you find something that helps you.
