Does anyone know whether the DWP, will be counting the £350 thank you payment as income? I have facilities that may be needed (paid for by us) ie. wet room,accessible doorways etc. Surely there will be need!

No, it is tax free and will be covered under the rent a room scheme we used to do. We have a bungalow with a large garden,and have signed up.We don't mind animals either.

Yes, read a bit futher along, we don't have.a large garden,but just need to cross the road into the countryside, great dog walks! Just have no faith in the DWP, (long involved story!)
