Tecfidera hair loss
Hi everyone, I've been on tecfidera for about ten months now and for the last few months I've been experiencing noticeable hair loss - every time I wash or brush my hair I lose a handful. Has anyone else experienced this? I've noticed a few Internet posts about it, but when I told my MS nurse she said it wasn't a known side-effect of tecfidera, and suggested I take multi-vitamins. If you've had this problem, was there anything you did that helped it? Was it only temporary? I hope so, as I'm doing quite well on the drug.

I have been on Tec for over 2 years and starting loosing my hair and had it breaking. I had my thyroid check and the numbers were up and then the next time they were down. They did some scans and thought I maybe had thyroid cancer. So I went to the hospital and got a biospy no cancer but lots of nodules growing. They said I had a bouncy thyroid and there was no treatment for it. They didn't know why I was growing nodules, I think it is either the MS or the Tec that is causing it. Potter
