Itching
Does anyone else have itching as a symptom of ms? It is driving me crazy this evening. That along with the spasticity in my legs is making me feel sorry for myself this evening!

This can be referred to as neuropathic pain. Your brain isn't receiving the right messages from the nerve endings. You end up with an irritation that no amount of scratching will satisfy. There are meds that you can take to dull down this pain, e.g. Amitriptyline, Gabapentin, pregabelen, to name but three. Have a word with your MS Nurse about this.
Yes I do! My inner left arm started by being incredibly sensitive and painful then it turned to itching, but cant releive the itch properly as it's so sensitive to touch! Along with sensitivity in my leg, MS nurse thinks its a relapse and wants to hold off of meds for neuropathic pain. Hope it goes soon (for you and me!)
