It's MS Awareness Week! Get involved using #MSUnfiltered
This MS Awareness Week, Shift.ms have partnered with MS Society, MS Trust, Neurotherapy Network, Overcoming MS, MS Together and MS-UK to launch the #MSUnfiltered campaign. Together, we're dropping the filter and getting real, shining a light on those not-so-glam symptoms.
Have you had any symptoms you're too embarrassed to talk about? Or are you just feeling like our goal Mona here? Either way, head to the comments and our socials to get involved with the hashtag #MSUnfiltered 💚
Hey Eleanor, maybe i got it all wrong, but yes, i do experience symptoms that i find to embarising to talk about, even with my ms-nurse or neuro. So no, i don't see myself posting them here, for all to see either. So what do you mean exactly? That you can post things anonymous? Because I do wander about them, what do others think or do about it?
@Juliapinkie1 Hi Julia! We're not asking you to share those symptoms that you feel embarrassed about at all. We want to open a discussion about how you navigate those symptoms; have you bought them up to your healthcare teams or nearest and dearest? If you have shared them, how was that experience? You are by in no means obligated to share, only if you're comfortable. We thought some people might be able to share some tips to help other MSers with opening up about symptoms they're embarrassed about. Hope that clears it up! Thanks :)
