Is it me or MS?
Hi everyone, just a question about if having MS has changed your personality? How can one tell? 🤷♀️I am having a hard time taking others with me on this awful MS ride. Funnily enough no one wants to come. I don’t know if it is their inability to help, or changes to my brain. Surely they should be there for me if they love me. Isn’t that what love is? I guess it is different for everyone. Any wise words much appreciated. Thanks 😊. Feeling a bit fed up and frustrated that I have to fight tooth and nail for everything. Really hard!
Yes personality has definitely changed either from MS or age related but no i didn't get wiser.
I've had MS for so long that I don't know what I'd be like if I didn't have it. I do know that family can become the most difficult issue we deal with. For me, I just had to become firm when speaking with others and let them know pointblank when their comments were hurtful or behavior was unhelpful. There's been some anger and hurt feelings on all sides, but most have come around to my way of thinking. I guess I'd suggest that you look at your interactions with them and see if you are being offensive or unnecessarily needy. Is your MS just part of your life now, or is it the focus of your life? Are they trying to force you to do things you can no longer do or belittling you for needing to rest? Some people just need guidance in what they need to do to help you, but there may be some that you just have to eliminate from your life.
