FIngolimod/Gilenya or MT-1303

Hi guys, I'm on a trial for a drug which is structurally similar to Fingolimod/Gilenya. It is thought to act on 3 receptors rather than all 5 of the receptors which Gilenya acts on. It's thought that the missing two receptors are the heart receptors, so hopefully this drug (MT-1303) will not cause cardiac effects such as the slowing of the heart seen with the first few doses of Gilenya. However....I've found that I'm prone to more colds, flu (despite flu vaccination), and chest infections. Urgh :-( Is anyone else on this same trial (nicknamed MOMENTUM)? And experiencing the same increased number of respiratory infections? And does anyone who takes Gilenya experience this?
@AngeShiftMS

was my post a bit too science-y?... I'm a pharma research geek so forget how to explain things without jargon ;) Basically I'm finding that I get poorly more often than your average Joe and it's worse since starting on this trial drug. Does anyone else find this with Gilenya?

@Anawith1n

I'm fine on gilenya,I've been on it now for over a month and I love it. This is the first time taking anything for my ms well betaferon for a month, first and had the worse side affect. Got put off taking anything for 15 years on nada (nothing) and got on gilenya due to I was detiriating slowly. I was limping and not walking properly and now I can walk properly without a limp and a lot faster toooooo! It was time!! SMILE!
