Stopping Gilenya

Hi all, I wondered if anyone has stopped taking Gilenya and if so how did you go about it? Did you taper down your dose? Did you manage your condition differently whilst stopping? I’m meant to stop Gilenya to start a new drug ASAP. My doctor warned me that I had to stop correctly as my MS can worsen after stopping. It’s the nurse that facilitates the stopping though, and she just said to stop taking the medicine. No warning, no planned check on my ms - just get bloods done so I can start the new drug in a few months. It’s made me worried she’s not facilitating it properly ... it’s my health at the end of the day! I’d welcome any help. Thank you in advance

Hi, Seems we are in the same boat. I was told that some people have relapses when they stop, some don't. I have been told that once I stop I wont be allowed back on it. My consultant did offer me other trials. Guess we are all guinny pigs until they actually find a cure.
