Hello @shannon_cameron, welcome to Shift! Only your neurologist will be able to answer this question, by looking at your MRIs. I'm not medical, but if you feel that you might have had some previous experience of MS before diagnosis over time, then I'm sure this is not a surprising amount. What really matters, is how you are managing currently. Before being diagnosed three years ago I didn't think I had any previous, but there were several on my MRI, one of which my neurologist referred to as 'old' which was a real surprise. I looked at your profile, and it seems like you're still 'in the process' regarding which type/medication. It might sound lame, but try not to stress too much; the cards are on the table, and as soon as more becomes clear, you can plan a way forward. Take care, and keeps updated!

@shannon_cameron Hi Sannon..... i was diagnosed last year and told that I had 19 between my brain and spine. Had no idea up to that point I had MS! I think its down to the individual and how it effects them so not sure comparrisons are of much balue to you. As you go through your journey it will all become clear... try not to stress too much
