Graves Disease

Hi all, I need some advice. I had Lemtrada in 2016/17 and have had an awful time of it with ITP last year and Graves Disease this year. After speaking with the Endocrinologist today he has offered either Radioactive Iodine or the surgery. Has anyone had experiences with this? Please help.

Hello @shaun_paskin, sounds like your autoimmune system has been in overdrive alright! must be hard to prioritise which specialist to see to see/listen to. Did you stop with the Lenmrtada? Do you still have ITP? My daughter has been through the wringer with that one for 14 years.....

Hi @vixen yeah it’s been a rollercoaster and I’m definitely regretting Lemtrada. The ITP is in remission, but according to a recent blood test my platelets have been dropping lately. Priorities are hard when everything goes wrong.
