There’s also a very good recent article on managing bladder problems on the Bart-MS Research blog. It explains why and how problems happen and lists the treatments.

Yes it is. I was interested in the explanation of how the two bladder muscles can fail to co-ordinate, leading to hesitation and weak flow – also how ‘alpha blocker’ drugs can tackle this. I’d only heard of the anti-cholergenic drugs, which I see now are are more for incontinence, so I’ll be asking the GP about this.

@cameron , Mirabegron is one such beta-blocker that is used.

What have the professionals, your nurse and neuro suggested? Perhaps your GP? They have probably all come across other patients with similar issues.
