Are you scared too? 🙃

I was diagnosed last year because my left leg went numb but I had been having symptoms most of my teenage/adult life (diagnosed at 29) and I am scared to wake up without the ability to see or walk! Please tell me I am not the only one… Milwaukee, WI but originally from Venezuela 🇻🇪. My symptoms were always dismissed as anxiety or depression.

Hey vero, Congrats on your first post. That takes a lot of courage so kudos to you. Sorry about your diagnosis, i guess a lot of people had something similar. I am originally Kenyan 🇰🇪so whenever I had fatigue or any other symptoms it was attributed to everything but sickness - laziness, depresssion, etc. so I know how you must have felt. To answer your question, no you’re not the only one. I’ve been diagnosed for less than 4 months now and every single morning I wake up afraid of planning for the future because like you said, what if I wake up with no vision, or end up not being able to walk, or have bladder issues and be incontinent. I don’t know what the solution is but you’re not the only one scared. Hopefully the treatments will slow down the progression. I’ll take some hope in that. Hopefully this helped. Sorry I turned it into a mini rant. 🥲

@AlexanderM not at all! We are all here for all the wrong reasons but with the best intentions to cope with this. Rant your feelings away!!
