Nerve Test (EMG)
Has anyone ever had an EMG (Nerve test) done? How was it for you? I went to the neurologist last week and because my left side from hip down is not as functional that test was recommended just in case it’s not a pinch nerve. My appointment for the EMG is coming up
I got one done in 2019, it was a weird sensation! Wasn’t painful just freaked me out a little bit! I didn’t like how I could still feel the shocks after they unhook me from the machine
@taniitayie It was interesting. They did it to me, prior to diagnosis, just to check that my lost sensation wasn't caused by a trapped nerve. I remember having a metal wire looped around fingers and then feeling some very slight electrical shocks. No subsequent feelings after the procedure and was very interested in how it was carried out and finding out the actual result. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't a trapped nerve! 😆
