New legions on first base line MRI

Had my baseline MRI come back, tiny new legion formed on brain. Anyone else had new legions in their baseline mri?

When did you start treatment? It isn’t unheard of that you would have new lesions identified because the activity is high when they first identify the disease. I would say see after another 6 months on Ocrevus to see if the treatment is working on slowing progression, but that is just my two cents from what I have heard and seen. Always check with your nuero and Best of luck.

My understanding is that the baseline scan is the one done when or before you start your drug so because the drug hasn't had a chance to work leading up to the scan yes it's normal to have new lesions. The lesions on that scan are now the baseline or the starting point and scans from now on will be compared to it to see how well the drug is working. Ideally if you're lucky all future scans should mirror the baseline.
