New normal
So I am on disability and after 2years of working part time had to give up that job too. Too much physically as my MS has progressed. I am currently trying to adapt to walking with a cane/Walker because I have a tendency to fall without the support. I am now doing physical therapy to try and get stronger and moving better. Learning how to live this new normal which sucks.
@soccsr081105 this truly sucks, I am sorry. I've lost my mobility recently (but it's a herniated disc, so I'm thankfully it's in the mend, at the stage the stick's support is mainly moral) and boy is it frightening. I've found rehabilitation and physical therapy exercises to be super helpful, just to get a sense I'm doing something about it...but also because it really does matter. Muscles need to stay conditioned, and our brains can still wire new connections to make up for the demyelinated ones. Still, it does suck. But at some point you gotta gaslight yourself into the silver linings, right? 🤣
@Will_Berard that is true. There has to be a silver lining. I did forget to mention I can no longer drive too. So it's Paratransit all the way for me too. But at least I am still walking
