Looking for advice
Looking for as much info as I can find. Was diagnosed in 2015 when I had "wet feet" that eventually creeptd to to my feet legs up to my theighs - numb tingling.. Didn't hinder anything, just a nuisance at that time.
Over the years since then small patches on my body would have pins and needles in - that's it.
My diet over the last 25+yrs was mostly keto / or low carb hight protein like 80% and 20% carbs
Little to no bread very little rice, never add salt to any food.. Clean
I'm 5'7" 150 lbs lean workout (moderately 🤏) but keep in shape.
Last year 2025 was the most horrific of all.. Stress of my gf dad passing away and my father 1 month later. (total of 6 funeral for family in 2025) in the middle of that my daughter 11 and I moved in with my gf and her 10yo and the stress could not have been any higher my diet the last 6 months completely swapped.. 85% carbs very little protein like I was use to.. Now - this flare has me numb waste down, unable to feel my left leg up to my bum/groin and parts of my Right foot.
I can still walk, slower.. using a can to keep balance so of the time.
I'm not against medications.. I just don't like putting anything in my body like that, I refuse flu shots cause I don't believe in them.. Now and then I take a multi vitamin or advil if I have any ache or headache (rarely)
My question is I know stress plays a big part. But all this anti-inflammatory diet I keep reading about sounds ok but if my body was stabilized With my diet I had before.. Would it not make sense to not confuse it more with new foods that I don't normally eat.. And just go back to more of a carnivor / keto diet?
Obviously I'm trying to cut the stress down but food wise.. Meats, eggs, pork.. I know there is not one thing that works for everyone.. Are ppl living with MS mostly doing DMT's? Or just diet and exercise..?
