NHS in the UK - How long did it take for your Lumbar Puncture results to return?

I've had 2 mri's - both show a lot of Lesions in my Brain & Spinal cord. My neurologist and doctors are pretty sure I have MS. They want to do a Lumber Puncture to confirm. I had the LP last Monday. How long does it take for the results to come back?

It depends on your area, but you could contact your neurologist (the contact details for him or his secretary will be listed under the hospital website somewhere). It is difficult waiting, but at least you are on the right path to find out. All the best.

Depends how busy the hospitals lab is. Should only take a few day to a week. But longer for you to hear back from the neurologists team when they have the results.
