Vitamin D use

I’ve been taking 4000iu but started taking a multivitamin so I was advised to take 3000iu because the multivitamin had supposedly 1000iu of D in it. But I think it actually only contains 400iu of VD. Do you think if I went back to taking my 4000iu plus multivitamin with 400iu of D. Equalling 4400iu a day is too much? Anyone else here take that amount?

To answer the question: no My GP advices 10,000 per day is the maximum as does doctor Google. My neurologist nurse says 5,000. Make sure you get your calcium checked too when you have your vitamin D blood tests.

Hi @ruari I find the whole vitamin D3 thing hard to square in my mind… in theory, it helps boost your immune system meanwhile most DMTs are immunosuppressant. However, I do personally take 4000iu per day as advised by neuro but it is also combined with K2. I’m no expert but I don’t think an extra 400iu is a major problem based on the video below ⬇️ https://youtu.be/AtoxkK7MeKc?si=utTsLaeRB1rA9nnI You can also argue that we are advised to take a vitamin without having our levels checked 🤔 Sorry if this creates more questions than answers.
