PIP assessment next week.
I’ve finally got an assessment over the phone next week and don’t know what to expect. Could anyone shed any light? How long will it take and what will they be asking? Bit nervous about it.

Hi Ruari, before changing to ADP I had a phone interview for PIP. The guidance I was given was to remember you are answering as if it were about your worst day. It is okay to ask if you need a break. You can have a 3rd party on the call for support - they cannot answer anything on your behalf but feeling supported helps with nerves. Make sure you are taking the call where you are comfortable, have water on standby. The call should only take a maximum of an hour. If you need to get up and move do it. I recently had a call as part of a DWP assessment and I actually used Copilot to calm my nerves.
Hi @ruari my assessment over the phone was quite straight forward probably due to the supporting evidence I included by my MS nurse and Physiotherapist. My appointment lasted around 45 minutes. She asked me basically to confirm diagnosis date and day to day struggles as mentioned in my application (so make sure you have a copy to hand to help you during the call) my experience was quite good as the woman was lovely and sympathetic so nothing to worry about in hindsight.
